Megan’s life has taken all kinds of twists and turns, so it’s no surprise she’s become a passionate storyteller. She was born and raised in a small town in Minnesota but has lived in Boston, New York and the Bay Area, where she resided in an illegal 12,000 sq ft warehouse and was a card carrying-member of The Creatures of the Loin, a San Francisco moped gang.
Megan comes from the narrative side of filmmaking. She’s a multifaceted artist who writes, directs, produces and edits. She’s edited feature films that have premiered at Sundance and won awards at SXSW. Her short film, Pop Monsters, premiered at the 2024 Austin Film Festival.
Not long after getting into film, Megan caught the attention of Filmmaker Magazine and was named one of their 25 New Faces of Independent Film in 2015.
When she’s not working, you can find her playing music, reading classic literature or dancing to 90’s Britpop/Indie rock. Whether at home in LA or working out of town, Megan’s day isn’t complete without her nightly bedtime ritual of watching Star Trek on repeat.
